Luckily, the answer is that almost any cookie can be vegan.
It’s true that most cookies contain butter (dairy) and eggs; however, with just a few simple switches they can be completely vegan.
There are so many different vegan butter options. Egg substitutes can be replaced with anything from flaxseed to applesauce depending on the recipe and use.
Thankfully, we’ve taken all the guess work out of it for you. We’re sharing almost 3 dozen recipes that are super delicious.

Vegan cookie dough can usually be frozen. What we have found works best is when you make the dough, form balls and then freeze the balls in either an air-tight container or ziplock style bag.
A good rule of thumb is that you can store most vegan cookies in an air-tight container and they will last for approximately 7 days. This is not guaranteed, but just a good rule of thumb.
In an air-tight container out on your counter is the best way to store these. A good tip is to store them with a sliced piece of bread inside the container to help them not dry out.
