Ingredients and Substitutions:

Gather your ingredients! See my recipe card below for a complete list of the ingredients with measurements.

  • Peanut Butter – you can’t have peanut sauce without peanut butter. We use a creamy peanut butter to make this recipe
    • Substitute: The taste will alter for whatever you end up using, but feel free to switch this up with other nut butter or even sunbutter
    • Variation: If you want a chunkier peanut sauce, chopped up some nuts and add them into the sauce after stirring. We recommend this way versus using chunky peanut butter
  • Aromatics – we are using ginger, garlic, and lime for depth and freshness to our recipe
    • Substitute: Lemon juice can be subbed for the lime juice
  • Coconut Aminos – adds an umami taste to the recipe
    • Substitute: can be swapped in equal amounts with soy sauce, liquid aminos, or a no soy soy sauce
  • Sriracha – kick up the heat with some bold flavors. You can add as much or little of this as you desire
    • Substitute: try hot sauce instead
  • Maple Syrup – we like balancing the flavor with some sweetness and we’re using maple syrup to get that ourselves. We use an unsweetened peanut butter, so you may want to add less if your peanut butter already has been sweetened
  • Sesame Oil and Rice Vinegar – These ingredients help balance out our flavors, and add depth and richness to the sauce

Oh My Yah I LOVE me some Peanut Sauce and this recipe is IT!
It didn’t take long for me to make it and I poured it over some pasta that I mixed with sauted onions, mushrooms and lightly steamed broccoli heads. When I tell you that plate was mouth poppin’, it was SMACKIN!!!
