Vegan Green Sauce Ingredients:

Gather your ingredients! See my recipe card below for a complete list of the ingredients with measurements.
- Avocado – the base of our recipe for green sauce uses ripe avocados. You’ll want to let your avocados get ripe so that you have the perfect smooth consistency for your sauce
- Almonds – The nuts in the recipe help with a creamy and smooth texture while adding in some protein to the recipe
- Jalapeno – to kick it up a little, we’re adding in some jalapeno
- Red Onion and Garlic – our aromatics of the dish build the base level of flavor
- Tip: While you may be a garlic lover, don’t over do it with the raw garlic. Since this is an uncooked sauce, you don’t want to add too much or it will become overly spicy.
- Lemon and White Vinegar– the acidity helps heighten the flavors of the dish. We don’t want lemon to overpower the flavor, so we use both.
- Spices – we’re using paprika, cumin, coriander, garlic powder and black pepper in this recipe
- Oil – helps to add a richness and blend all the ingredients together well.
How to Make Green Sauce

1. Add all the ingredients for the sauce together in a food processor (or high powdered blender).

2. Once you have your desired consistency, use immediately or cover and place in fridge. Use within 5-7 days.
Green Sauce Substitutions
- Almonds – Try macadamia nuts, raw cashes, or butter beans instead of the almonds
- Jalapeno – you can add more or less depending on your spice preferences. Want a little less spice? Try a poblano. Don’t like spice at all? Add in some green bell pepper.
- Oil – Use vegetable stock if needed
