This Vegan Maple Coconut Cream Cheese Glaze is perfect drizzled on things like pancakes and waffles! Just 3 ingredients and 5 minutes to make!

Sometimes we need to switch things up.  Things can become boring or lackluster if we do the same routine constantly.  For us, we love creating different ways to top our pancakes and waffles.  This vegan maple coconut cream cheese glaze is the perfect topping.

It’s a sweet and surprisingly delicious way to enjoy your favorite breakfast creations. You only need one bowl, 3 ingredients, and 5 minutes for this to all come together.

What ingredients do you need for Vegan Maple Coconut Cream Cheese Glaze?

This is just a really quick glaze so naturally you aren’t going to need many ingredients.  In fact, you only need 3.  The ingredients that you need are:

    • Creme of Coconut  (click link for product)
    • maple syrup
    • vegan powdered sugar

Is Creme of Coconut the same as a can of full fat Coconut Milk?

You may see creme of coconut and think that we are meaning the fatty part that rises to the top of a can of coconut milk when refrigerated.  However, we are not.  Creme of Coconut is a little different.

For starters, it’s a little sweeter than a can of just coconut milk.  The sweetness adds to the delicious of this glaze. It doesn’t need to be refrigerated for you to get the thick creme off the top of the jar.  There is still a tiny bit of liquid at the bottom and you will want to avoid this in your recipe.  It is in a smaller jar and runs about $2-3 depending on where you live.

Can I just use full fat coconut milk?

You can swap out full fat coconut milk. You will want to refrigerate the can overnight and then carefully skim just the fatty part off the top. It won’t be as sweet, but it will still be delicious.

How do you make a Dairy Free Maple Coconut Cream Cheese Glaze?

Once you have the fatty part of your creme of coconut, place that in a bowl.  Then, using a mixer, beat the creme until smooth.  Next, add in your maple syrup and combine.  Finally add in the powdered sugar and beat just until mixed together.  That’s it!  Serve immediately or store in an air tight container.

Can I make this a Top 8 Free Maple Glaze?

You can omit the coconut creme if you are allergic to coconuts and just have an even more basic glaze.  We do love the taste and creaminess the coconut gives, but if you just whisk together the maple and powdered sugar it would still be great together.

What can I use this Vegan Maple Coconut Cream Cheese Glaze for?

There are so many uses for this dairy free maple coconut cream cheese glaze. Anything that you’d normally drizzle something sweet on would work, like cakes or waffles.  Here’s some ideas:

    • Your favorite oatmeal or try this paleo almond oatmeal
    • Vegan Carrot Cake Pancakes
    • Vegan Banana Pancakes
    • Swap out the normal frosting on these Dairy Free Cinnamon Rolls
    • Vegan Eggnog Waffles
    • Over some delicious Vegan Peach Cobbler

    How would you use it?
