What vegan chicken patty brands did we try?
Despite trying out 9 different brands, we know that there are even more out there. We just didn’t find them local to us. The brands that we did find and try are:
- 365 Whole Foods
- Moringstar Farms
- Alpha
- Gardein Original
- Gardein Ultimate
- Boca
- Lightlife
- Aldi
- Quorn
How did we do the vegan chicken patty taste test?
It was really quite simple.
We made the patties according to the packages. Put them onto the same buns and added sauce. We try to keep it neutral for our taste test videos so that we are focusing on the product and not a bunch of different toppings or things to detract from the actual vegan burger.
We were looking for mostly taste and texture. Our goal was to find the one closest to what we remember meat based chicken patties tasting like.
Morningstar Farms Veggie Original Chik Patties
Thoughts: We liked these. Going into the video, we thought these were one of our favorites. We don’t think you can go wrong with these if it’s all you can find. They also have a buffalo patty.

Vegan Quorn Meatless Spicy Patties
Thoughts: So the annoying part of these is that only Quorn’s spicy patties are vegan, the non-spicy version is not vegan. Which honestly makes no sense. That being said the spice was nice, but the texture and taste put them just out of the top 5.
