One of the things that we love about Miyoko’s is the simple and clean ingredient list. And the liquid cheese is no exception.
Miyoko’s Liquid Mozzarella Ingredients
The ingredients in Miyoko’s liquid cheese are:
Miyoko’s Organic Cashew Milk (Filtered Water, Organic Cashews), Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Tapioca Starch, Sea Salt, Mushroom Extract, Organic Sunflower Lecithin, Organic Konjac, Cultures.
There are 6 servings at ¼ cup per serving inside on 16oz bottle of Miyoko’s Liquid Mozzarella.
No. At this time Miyoko’s only makes vegan liquid mozzarella.
You can use Miyoko’s Store locator to see where you can purchase the liquid cheese in store or you can also use the website to ship directly to your home.
The average prices seems to be $6-7 depending on location; however, we have seen it for as low as $4.
According to the package, you should consume the product within 14 days of opening the product.
It’s so easy to use the Miyoko’s liquid cheese. Just shake well, pour, and bake onto your favorite things that call for cheese. You’ll want to make sure not to apply to thick according to the bottle.
While we couldn’t find anything on the Miyoko’s website about microwaving, we did test it ourselves. A thick outer layer around the rim of our bowl congealed after just 30 seconds. After 60 seconds, it was a gloppy, slimy mess. If you were to microwave, we’d recommend just a few seconds at a time and constantly stir and repeat.
What recipes should I use with Miyoko’s liquid cheese?
The possibilities are truly endless; however, here’s a few delicious ways to use. Instead of sprinkling vegan cheese shreds on top, you would replace it with the liquid.
Miyoko’s Liquid Mozzarella review:
Overall, we were surprised by how much we liked the taste of the Miyoko’s liquid cheese. We also think it would be fun for other varieties to come out like cheddar or gouda.
It was also super easy to use. While discussing price, we did mention that while it’s more expensive for most people compared to a bag of vegan shreds, you are getting more out of it per serving which means that it’s cheaper per serving.
Since Miyoko’s product are typically more expensive per serving because of their smaller company, organic ingredients, and clean ingredient list, we were happy to see that change for them.
Being honest, it wasn’t our favorite product ever. We may buy it again in the future, but it wouldn’t be our first choice.
We do think that there is a lot of room for error which is one reason why. The product calls for about ¼ cup of liquid cheese per 10″ pizza; however, when we did that we found it light and lacking and would have liked more of a mouth feel and taste of the cheese coming through. Same when we tried the same amount for our nachos.
It does brown and it does bubble, which is also nice. Lastly, there’s no gummy feeling or sticky feeling like many vegan cheese products have. Larisha did feel as though it was a bit gritty, but Andrew said he didn’t feel that.
We hope this information helps you make an informed decision on Miyoko’s Creamery Liquid Mozzarella.

I have used Miyoko’s liquid mozzarella in several recipes. It’s a little different since it’s already a liquid. It seems to work best mixed in like a bechamel. I used it with Follow Your Heart shreds in a baked rigatoni and roasted eggplant dish. It’s great in lasagna aswell.
