You may have never even heard of Sprouts until one opened around you. But you will be amazed at all the vegan finds at Sprouts Farmers Market that you can find when you do enter into one for the first time.
Sprouts Farmers Market is new(ish) to the grocery store scene. Most people have never even heard of them. In fact, they are only located in 23 states in the US and no other countries around the world.
While their first farm stand started in 1943, it wasn’t until 2002 that the first Sprouts store officially opened. You can do the math, but that means only 19 years. During that time, they have acquired brands and grown to over 340 stores.
Today we wanted to highlight them not only for some of the best vegan finds on the market, but also because of their dedication and mission to healthier, more affordable foods for everyone.
We are going to be going over some of the top Sprouts brand name vegan items that we were able to find in their store. That means that only their store brand will be featured in this post and the taste test video that goes along with it.
Rest assured though that if you visit their store you will find huge name brand vegan products as well!
During the pandemic, they also shifted where all of their stores offer grocery pick-up so if you have a location near you, check that out as well!

How did you find vegan products at Sprouts Farmers Market?
Our primary source was our own knowledge of vegan brands. Looking at the label and reading ingredients and being able to tell.
Another way is the Sprouts store itself. Many of the items that are vegan had a green “plant based” sticker near the price. It’s important to note that just because something says plant based doesn’t mean that it won’t contain dairy or eggs, so it is still important to check. It was just easy to spot things this way easier.
Can I use Sprouts pickup for vegan food?
Absolutely! In fact, it’s one of the greatest things to happen in 2020. Sprouts in 2020 added grocery store pick-up to their list of services and if nothing else positive happened in 2020, it’s that grocery store pick up became a national treasure!
Sprouts does use Instacart for both their pickup and delivery options, so there is a fee for both. Their website states that pickup fees start at $1.99 and delivery fees start at $3.99 plus a 5% service fee.
What’s cool about the Sprouts online ordering system is that you can click on the plant based icon and is will show you things that should mostly be vegan. Always remember that plant based and vegan are not the same and you should always read label when in doubt.

Top Vegan Finds at Sprouts Farmers Market
Produce
Sprouts Farmers Market is known for their produce. You will walk in and find beautiful produce at every store that will make you feel like you are at a farmer’s market but into a store that has everything else that you need.
You will find all the traditional produce that you normally buy – tomatoes, avocados, onions, potatoes. In addition to that though, you will find many exotic and seasonal produce that is harder to find other places – rambutan, dragonfruit, aloe leaves, purple cauliflower, seeded watermelons.
Obviously most of those are seasonal and they don’t carry many things out of seasonality so don’t expect to find seeded watermelons in the winter.
Another great thing is that you will find frozen fruits and vegetables at great prices. Even things that you wouldn’t normally be able to quickly grab at other places like coconut chunks and edamame.
If you are looking for a specific produce and can’t find it someone else, chances are that Sprouts will have it.
(vegan) Dairy aisle finds
Sprouts has a variety of plant based alternatives. You can find:
- almond milk
- soy milk
- coconut milk
- dairy free creamers
- plant based butters
- dairy free yogurts
- dairy free cream cheese
- and more!
Usually for these things, they have their own section. Meaning that all the plant based milks will be in one area of the dairy fridges. You will find huge selections of each thing, especially their dairy free yogurt selection.
Frozen finds
We were shocked to find so many vegan frozen finds. Not only with their own store brand of products, but also name brands like Alpha and Gardein.
There are so many frozen finds and it’s only growing. In our local store there were almost as many vegan frozen finds as there were non-vegan foods and if that’s not a sign that times are changing, I don’t know what it. We are here for it and welcome it!
However, there will also be vegan desserts and ice creams that have it’s own section near the other ice creams.
Some things to look for are:
- vegan burgers
- microwavable meals
- vegan meats – like nuggets and sausage
- Gardein products
- Especially if you are a new vegan, Gardein is great. They make an all vegan line and there are so many great swaps like vegan grilled chicken strips, beefless crumbles, and other meat substitutes.
- Daiya frozen pizza
- and more.
At least in our store, there is an open freezer near the deli and then the frozen door sections. The section near the deli has frozen burgers like Beyond so check both.
Just a reminder to always double check things labeled plant based as they can sometimes still contain egg and/or dairy.
Snacks
Definitely hit up the snack aisles. Most chips are vegan but always double check the labels. We were able to find cookies, chips, and more.
One cool find was that the salt and vinegar chips at Sprouts are vegan (their brand). It’s hard to find these so it was nice to spot!
Asian, Hispanic, and International Food Aisles
Always, always, always double check these aisles. You can find so many good things.
Ramen noodles, broth, seaweed, dressings and sauces that will aid to any meals you are creating.
Baking Aisle
Most spices are vegan (again always double check) so definitely grab those, flour to include almond, cassava, coconut and more.
Making baking mixes like cake and brownie mixes are naturally vegan you just need to swap the eggs for applesauce or flax egg.
We hope you are able to find these products and so much more when you are shopping at Sprouts on your next trip!
Bulk Section
Besides produce, Sprouts is known for their bulk sections. They have nuts and other dried goods that you can buy as much or as little as you want, which is awesome.
They also have some candies and dried fruits and vegetables that are great for snacking or using in other ways. It’s fun to look through and figure out new things.
Bakery
Sprouts has a vegan of vegan products in their bakery. They always carry vegan muffins, cookies, and sometimes pies. They are all great selections and you can’t go wrong no matter what you choose! In addition, they have breads, buns, bagels, and more that are vegan-friendly.
