🥘Recipe Ingredients

Gather your ingredients!
- Tahini – blended sesame seeds give you a nutty sauce with earthy undertones and is the base of our dressing
- Maple Syrup – we’re using a bit of sweetness in the recipe because tahini on it’s own can have some bitterness
- Soy Sauce – adds another layer of umami flavor
- Dijon Mustard – adds complexity to the dressing
- Apple Cider Vinegar – adding an acid helps to balance flavors and enhance the other ingredients as well
- Spices – we’re adding fresh and powdered garlic for a balance, along with onion powder and black pepper
See my recipe card below for a complete list of the ingredients with measurements.
Substitutions and Variations:
- Tahini – you could use a nut butter like peanut or cashew in place of the tahini. We prefer natural (one ingredient) nut butters to replace, but if you’re using store bought and it has sugar inside, you may want to omit the maple syrup.
- Maple Syrup – other liquid sweeteners can also be used like date syrup or agave
- Soy Sauce – coconut aminos, tamari or no soy soy sauce are other options
- Dijon Mustard – spicy brown mustard or ground mustard could also be used
- Apple Cider Vinegar – lemon juice is a great alternative
