Abbot’s Butcher Premium Plant-Based Meat Review walks through how these new vegan products stack up to the market and if they are worth the cost.
Vegan meats almost seem to be like vegan cheese or milk. Every time you turn around, there’s a new well. Today, we’re seeing if a new one can stack up with our Abbot’s Butcher Premium Plant-Based Meat Review.
This is a brand that originally our audience told us about and we had not heard anything about them. Sometimes when we are reviewing or taste testing new brands, it’s even more fun, because we have no expectations.
Abbot’s Butcher is actually a play on the name as they are a completely vegan company. Starting in California farmer’s markets in 2016, they have impressively grown their brand in a few short years to create 3 different products available in grocers across the nation.
Luckily, even we were able to find a store local-ish to us that was carrying the products so we could try them out after a reader recommendation. We found all three different products that include vegan beef, chicken, and chorizo.
Today we are dishing all the details on price, ingredients, and our opinion of the taste.
Make sure that you watch our taste test below and all the questions you may have should be answered below as well.

Abbot’s Butcher review:
Overall, we were really impressed with the products. We preferred the chicken the most and then the chorizo. The beef has a weird smell that didn’t necessarily transfer through for Larisha when tasting, but Andrew couldn’t get over. We did try again after the video and do agree that it’s much better in something as opposed to it’s own like we assumed it would be when trying in the video.
The price point it a bit high per ounce; however, this is more of a premium product and when you think of it like that it’s pretty in line with some of the other high end vegan meat products.
This is a new brand so the more markets it gets into and the more sold, the price should be able to come down.
Abbot’s Butcher also has a very clean ingredient list and overall a premium product that pulls it weight in a saturated vegan meat market.
