Would you believe me if I said there were even more? There were some that we’ve heard of that couldn’t find, but also some of these brands have additional flavors but we thought that would be too many to try!

PSA:
We know that everyone has different taste buds. What we may think is the best, may completely vary from what you actually like.
You may ultimately think our best is the worst and that’s okay. We created this video as hopefully a starting point for people and we can only go off our opinion.
WHAT VEGAN ICE CREAM BAR BRANDS DID WE TRY?
Despite trying out multiple different brands, we know that there are even more out there. We just didn’t find them local to us. The brands that we did find and try are:
- Magnum
- So Delicious
- Jolly Llama
- Haagen Dazs
- Kind
- Coconut Bliss
- Chloe’s
- Must Love Bananas
- Modern Pop
- Jonny Pops
- Sprouts
- Good Pop
- Daiya
HOW DID WE DO THE VEGAN ICE CREAM BAR TASTE TEST?
It was really quite simple.
We literally just ate the ice cream.
Honestly, for many of our taste tests we go in thinking there may be taste or texture differences and that is what we are focusing on. We really went into this video thinking that everything was going to taste terrific. I mean it’s ice cream. Can it really be bad?
We weren’t doing these one to talk about rank or anything like that.
Best Vegan Ice Cream Bars Review:
Daiya Ice Cream Bars – Chocolate Fudge Crunch and Salted Caramel Swirl
Thoughts: The Daiya Chocolate Fudge Crunch Bar was one of the best in the entire video. The crunchy pieces on the outside were a nice touch. The Daiya Salted Caramel Swirl had a nice taste, but the inside ice cream was not as soft as some of the other ones, including the chocolate bar from Daiya.
There is often a weird taste that comes with some former Daiya products; however there’s no odd taste in the ice cream bars. Would recommend!
Daiya also makes Classic Vanilla Bean and Espresso Coffee flavored vegan ice cream bars.
How many come in a package? There are 3 vegan ice cream bars in a Daiya package.
Where to Buy: We found these at our local Natural Health store, but you can use the Daiya Store Locator to find them near you.
Daiya Chocolate Fudge Crunch Ingredients: Non-dairy Frozen Dessert (Water, Coconut Cream, Cane Sugar, Fudge Swirl (Tapioca Syrup, Water, Cane Sugar, Cocoa Powder (processed with alkali), Cocoa Powder, Chocolate Liquor, Guar Gum, Salt), Tapioca Syrup, Cocoa (Processed with Alkali), Coconut Oil, Fava Bean Protein, Tamarind Seed Gum, Sea Salt, Locust Bean Gum), Coating (Dark Chocolate (Unsweetened Chocolate, Cane Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Vanilla Extract), Coconut Oil, Pumpkin Seeds).
Contains: Coconut.
Daiya Salted Caramel Swirl Ingredients: Non-dairy frozen dessert (water, coconut cream, sugars (cane sugar, tapioca syrup), caramel swirl (sugars (tapioca syrup, powdered cane sugar, molasses), water, coconut cream, guar gum, salt, vegan natural flavour), coconut oil, fava bean protein, tamarind seed gum, sea salt, vegan natural flavour, locust bean gum), Coating (dark chocolate (unsweetened chocolate, cane sugar, cocoa butter, vanilla extract), coconut oil).
Top 8 Allergens: Coconut.

So Delicious Ice Cream Bars – Mocha Almond Fudge, Salted Caramel Cashewmilk, Double Chocolate Delight Cashewmilk
Thoughts: We really liked these. Sometimes So Delicious Products are strong with a coconut taste; however, this allowed the flavor of the ice cream to really shine through.
The So Delicious Mocha Almond Fudge almondmilk bar tasted just like coffee ice cream which was delicious even though we aren’t fans of coffee. We preferred the So Delicious Salted Caramel bar to the Daiya caramel one simply because the ice cream was softer, more creamier. The So Delicious Double Chocolate Delight was nice, but we preferred the Daiya one over this one for a chocolate on chocolate vegan ice cream bar.
So Delicious also makes a vegan Peanut Butter Bar, Mint Fudge Swirl Bar, Dipped Vanilla Bean Bar, Fudge Bar, and some no sugar bars as well.
How many come in a package? There are 4 vegan ice cream bars in a So Delicious package.

Must Love Bananas Dipped Banilla
Thoughts: If you love banana ice cream then you will love these. If you don’t, then you likely won’t. The ice cream texture is soft. Larisha likes these, but Andrew didn’t because of the strong banana taste.
It does have one of the shortest ingredient lists for those that look at that.
Must Love also makes a dipped chocolate and dipped strawberry.
How many come in a package? There are 4 ice cream bars in a Must Love Bananas package.
Where to Buy: You can use the Must Love Store Locator to find them near you.

Magnum Non-Dairy Sea Salt Caramel
Thoughts: Hands down one of the best you can find! The ice cream is unbelievably velvety, smooth, and creamy. If you’d give us this and it didn’t have the V for Vegan logo on the front, we would likely question that you are feeding us a dairy based product. Magnum absolutely nailed it.
Magnum also makes Non-Dairy Classic and Non-Dairy Almond Ice Cream Bars.
How many come in a package? There are 3 vegan ice cream bars in a Magnum Non-Dairy package.
Where to Buy: You can use the Magnum Non-Dairy Store Locator to find them near you. Note: The store locator may not be accurate. It said that there were no stores within 100 miles of us. We found these at Acme.

Jolly Llama Dairy Free Gluten Free Caramel Chocolate Chip Cones
Thoughts: You can taste that the cone is gluten free but not as much as you can with some other products include Jolly Llama ice cream sandwiches (referring to the graininess of the products.

GoodPop Bars – Dreamy Orange Push Pop, Cookies n’ Cream and Orange n’ Cream
Thoughts: We were really excited for this brand were we found both push pops and creamsicle style bars.
Unfortunately, it was a let down for us. The cookies n’ cream and orange n’ cream bars were more popsicle like. There was no “cream”iness about the orange bars at all.
Also, when we first tasted these, there was an almost alcohol like taste to the bars that Andrew and Larisha immediately spit out. Weirdly enough they opened (you can watch the video for this) another bar to see if their kids would have the same reaction and they didn’t. Larisha and Andrew then tested the newly opened bar and while they still didn’t prefer the bar, there was no weird taste.
The cookies n’ cream bars are definitely hard like popsicles and the push pops are hard and lack flavor.
That all being said, our kids like the push pops so if you have kids they would still like these likely.
There are many other flavors of bars and push pops on their GoodPop website.
How many come in a package? There are 3 push pops in a package and 4 bars in each package of GoodPop.
Where to Buy: You can use the GoodPop Store Locator to find these near you.

ARE THESE VEGAN ICE CREAM BARS BRANDS ALLERGY FRIENDLY?
We listed the allergens under each so check there.
There are two that are Top 8 Allergen Free – Modern Pop and Jonny Pops. Chloe’s Pops also say to be allergen free but do contain a highly refined coconut oil so you would need to make that decision for yourself.
WHO WAS THE WINNER?
We didn’t really rank these based on who was a winner. I mean it’s ice cream and we knew we would like most of them. We also don’t want to compare the pops (popsicle bars) to the truly ice cream bars. We weren’t sure when picking up if any would be creamy and they were definitely all more popsicle like.
That being said, our top picks would be:
- Daiya
- So Delicious
- Magnum
- Kind Frozen
- Jolly Llama
For the pops Chloe’s was our top pick.
