  • Preheat oven to broil.
  • Rub olive oil all over the pepper.
  • Place on a baking sheet and place under the broiler. Carefully rotating every 3-4 minutes until the entire pepper is blackened.
  • Remove and cover with foil to trap the heat.
  • Let cool to room temperature or leave overnight.
  • Peel all the skin off, remove the stem and seeds. Discard.
  • Slice red pepper into strips.
  • Use immediately or place in an air tight container for 3-4 days.
