This easy vegan chocolate mousse is delicious and the perfect light as air chocolate dessert recipe. Just 5 ingredients needed to make this incredible dairy free chocolate dessert.
Start by melting chocolate chips down over a double broiler. (*See post if microwave is preferred). **If using optional cocoa butter, then you would add that with the chocolate and melt at the same time.
In a large bowl, add the aquafaba and whip in a stand mixer (or hand mixer) until stiff peaks form, approximately 10 minutes. You should be able to turn the bowl upside down without the mixture falling out.
Add the powdered sugar and beat with a mixer.
Add in melted chocolate and vanilla and fold into the aquafaba mixture. Sprinkle the salt in and carefully fold again.
Pour into desired glasses and place in the refrigerator to chill for 6 hours or overnight.
Serve.
