Vegan Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookies

These vegan tahini chocolate chip cookies are the perfect balance of sweet and savory that you are going to love pairing together.

  • Preheat oven to 350˚F (177˚C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, add flour, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, add vegan butter, tahini and both sugars. Beat with a mixer (stand or hand) until light and creamy about 3-5 mins. Scrape down the sides.
  • Add apple sauce and beat them until combined (about 15 - 20 seconds).  Scrap down again.
  • Add the flour mixture and beat on low just until combined. Do not overmix.
  • Add chocolate chips and use a spatula to fold the chips in. 
  • Use a cookie scoop to make 12 cookies and place on a baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake the cookies for 11 - 13 minutes or until the edges begin to brown.
  • Remove from oven and let cool about 10.
  • Store any leftovers in an air tight container.
