Press and drain tofu by either wrapping in a towel and placing a heavy bottomed pot on top for 30 minutes or using a tofu press to go faster.
Once tofu is pressed, slice in half and then into ½ inch cubes.
In a ziploc bag, add cubed tofu, soy sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, garlic and black pepper. Seal bag, removing excess air, and move around to evenly distribute sauce and coat all pieces. Place in fridge for 4-6 hours.
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Place tofu onto a baking sheet and spread out evenly. Bake for 20-30 minutes, flipping every 7-8 minutes or until all sides are golden brown *Air fryer and pan fry methods described in post above. *You can discard the sauce or pour it with tofu onto pan. If pouring onto pan, it will take closer to 30 minutes, if not using, closer to 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and serve over rice or other optional dish.
