In terms of Top 8 Allergy Free eggnog waffles – this recipe does contain flour and almonds. The flour can easily be replaced with gluten free cup for cup flour. The homemade dairy free eggnog that we make does contain almonds; however, you could try store bought coconut eggnog (So Delicious makes one).

In a large bowl, you want to whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt. Next add in melted (but not hot) coconut oil and dairy free eggnog. Let the mixture sit for 3-5 minutes. This will help it set up.
While the batter is setting up, turn on your waffle maker and grease it with either a dairy free spray or what we like to do it spread more coconut oil across the grids. Make waffles according to your waffle maker’s instructions. Repeat with remaining batter.

While some would say it’s up to the individual, we say that you can use this recipe exactly as written to make either eggnog pancakes or eggnog waffles, the choice is really yours.

Can I make these dairy free eggnog waffles ahead of time?
These vegan eggnog waffles can be made 24 hours ahead of time if serving the next day. The best way to store these is to wrap them in plastic on in an air-tight container while warm. This allows the steam to stay inside the dairy free eggnog waffles and keep them soft. Only do it this way if you plan to eat the waffles within 24 hours.
These dairy free eggnog waffles can also be frozen for up to 3 months. Simply let the waffles cool completely after cooking and then place them in a freezer safe bag or container until ready to use. When you are ready, place them in the microwave for 15 seconds at a time until ready.
If you do not have a microwave, you can let them come to room temperature and then heat in the oven for a few minutes until the desired temperature is achieved.
